

Statesboro, Ga. Mr. Dock A. Brannen, age 83, died Sunday at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Brannen was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served in the United States Navy and the Air National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hampton and Lucille Brannen. Survivors include his wife, Imogene G. Brannen of Statesboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Mike Johns of Jacksonville, Fla., and Janet and Tomm Gorny of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Dock and Angel Brannen of Statesboro; three grandchildren, Michelle and Aaron Clements of Sandersville, Richard Hendrix and Brent Hendrix, both of Mobile, Ala.; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Dr. H. William Perry officiating. Entombment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Historical Society and special friends Frank and Dee Ramsey.
