Gail M. Nunnally, age 73, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in her residence under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
Gail was born in Reisterstown, Maryland to the late Ira and Mary Crabtree Holman and attended local schools there. She moved to Douglasville, Georgia, where she lived for more than 23 years, before moving to Savannah three years ago. Gail retired from a career in Finance and Banking and had worked more than 18 years with American General Finance, seven years with AVCO Financial Corporation and retired as regional manager from HSBC, where she had worked for more than 9 years. Gail was a member of Bible Baptist Church, in Savannah and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville.
Gail is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles “Sonny” Nunnally of Savannah; son, Derrick Meek and his wife, Elizabeth of Winder; daughter, Nicki Russell and her husband, Barry of Savannah; six grandchildren, Hunter Russell, Josh Meek, Alexis Russell, Matthew Meek, Thomas Meek and Luke Meek.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, March 11th in the First Baptist Church of Douglasville, with Reverend John Pennington officiating.
The family will receive guest after the service in the church fellowship hall.
