Mr. Hill was born in Sarasota, FL to parents Denny Hill and Alice Morrison, but moved to Statesboro as a teenager. He was a graduate of Statesboro High School, and in 1980, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant and received multiple commendations and awards during his service.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his former wife, Pat McCoy.
He is survived by his son, Austin Hill; parents, Tommy and Alice Morrison and Denny and Jane Hill; brothers, Marshall Hill and Joshua Hill; and sister, Denise Hill.
A memorial potluck will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at the Civic room of the Statesboro-Bulloch Parks and Recreation Honey Bowen Building from 11am to 3pm.
