Janet Elaine Marcantonio

Janet was a native of Camilla, GA and lived in Albany for many years before to Chatham County and then to Statesboro in 2003. She was a retired waitress and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Leroy and Susie Mae Johns Collins and 3 brothers, Carroll Leroy Collins, Jr., Grover Alexander Collins and Larry Eugene Collins.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Teon S. Merritt and her husband, James of Brooklet; son, William L. Parr, III and his wife, Christina of Brooklet; 2 brothers, Thomas Wayne Collins of Mitchell County, GA and David Collins of Albany; sister, Dianna Sue Collins Bouie of Albany; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry E. Bird officiating.

Burial will be held in Albany at a later date.
