Mrs. Margaret Annell Knight Swindell , age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday February 27th 2018 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility.
As a tireless and devoted witness for Jesus Christ, Mrs. Swindell, a Tattnall County native , would often give away gospel tracts for the salvation of lost souls. She was a member of the Gospel Baptist Church in Ellabell . Mrs. Margaret was passionate about giving to and helping others at every opportunity and an adamant believer in prayer. She enjoyed cooking, fishing , gardening, and working in her yard.
Mrs. Swindell was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Henry Clyde Swindell, and a brother, Wilbert Knight.
She gave birth to three boys, but only had two sons; Steve Swindell and Samuel Swindell; four granddaughters, Josie Swindell, Sarah Swindell, Emily Swindell, and Angela Harn; a grandson, James Swindell; five great-grandchildren, Sierra Harn, Selah Harn, Seth Harn, Aniston Swindell, and Jaze Swindell; a brother, Jerry Knight; a sister, Nancy Griffin and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday , March 2, 2018 at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Joe Melvin and Samuel Swindell officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11 a.m. until noon.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery in Pembroke, Ga.
Serving as pall bearers will be Dennis Stanfield, Will Stanfield, Glen Smith, James Swindell, Ralph Stair, and William Kendrick.
