

Mrs. Thelma Deal Parker, age 91, died Tuesday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Emanuel County and lived in Savannah for many years before moving back to Statesboro in 2002. Mrs. Parker was the owner of the Salt and Pepper Restaurant in Port Wentworth for many years. She was a member of the Clito Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, working in her garden, cooking, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Parker, her sons, Billy Parker, Bobby Parker, Jimmy Parker, and her daughters, Carolyn Ramsey and Bess Hadley.
Survivors include her children, Donald (Brenda) Parker of Statesboro, Brenda (Billy) Milton of Statesboro, Ann Bradham of Waynesboro, and Jerry (Barbara) Parker of Rincon; thirty five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Zellner and Rev. J.D. Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
