Brenda Butler Byrd

Born December 23, 1946 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Guy Vernon Butler and Angeline McGuiness Butler.

Brenda worked as a manager at J.R.’s in Statesville and was a homemaker. She loved taking trips to the mountains, and her dog Trixe. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed all types of beautiful roses and considered each of her family as a rose in life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Walter Ronnie Byrd of the home; daughters, Tammy (Charles) Davis, and Rhonda (James) Lett, all of Statesville; a son, Ronnie Wayne Byrd of Tennessee; grandchildren, Rhonda Davie Barker (Chris), Tiffney Michelle Hawkins, Mathew Thomas Lett and Alicia Jordon Lett; great-grandchildren, Madison Barker, Ian Barker, Conner Hawkins, and Baylen Hawkins, and her twin sister, Linda Kaye Caldwell.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Black officiating.
