

Born January 21, 1932 in Iredell County North Carolina, he was the son to the late Clint and Octa Fox. He attended Cool Spring School and also served in the United States Army. He was a Third Degree Mason, active member of the Oasis Shriners Temple and a past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose. Charlie loved sharing the mountain haven he, June and Family created together. It was his heaven on earth. He was always good for a joke, a laugh, a story and most certainly a shot of Fireball.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Bud Fox and brother-in-laws, Harold Lanier and Ray Renegar.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years, June Fox; son, Charles " Chuck" A. Fox Jr. (Yvonne); daughter, Jackie Fox (Perry Walters); grandchildren, Shane (Beth) Thompson, Nichole L. Fox, Charles "Lonnie" A. Fox III, Sarah Walters, and Lauren (Steven) Davis; great-grandchildren, Kael Alonzo Fox Cline, Bolton Davis, and Lawson Davis; sisters, Duree Renegar, Merita Lanier, and Becky (Ed) Parks; brothers, Bob (Nancy) Fox and Michael (Missy) Fox; sister-in-law, Brenda Fox and many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2pm at Providence United Methodist Church in Statesville. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall. All other times the family will gather at the home of Charlie and June Fox.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oasis Shriners Temple- Children's Hospital, 640 Doug Meyers Place, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262.
