Cheryl Anita Young Worthington

She was born August 18, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Marvine Louise Carson Young. She was a cashier with Cracker Barrel Restaurant for the last several years and also worked part-time with Iredell-Statesville Schools. She enjoyed flowers, collecting cookbooks and using her gift of hospitality cooking and caring for others.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bria (Russ) Lundy of Lawrenceville, VA; a brother, Frederick (Rita) Young of Mt. Vernon, OH; four step-grandchildren, Ashby Lundy, Cameron Lundy, Hunter Lundy, and Sadler Lundy; and was Nana to her favorite dog, Savannah Alexis.

Service celebrating Cheryl’s life will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, September 6, 2013, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Corbell officiating. Feel free to wear Cheryl’s favorite colors to the service which are purple, teal, sage and pink.

The family will speak with friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Friday.

Burial will take place on Sunday at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hopewell, OH.
