Clyde Lester Burr

Born June 12, 1934 in Clyde, SC, he was the son of the late William Lester Burr and Selena Marie Rivers Burr. He attended Society Hill School in South Carolina, and retired from W & R Erectors.

He is preceded in death by four brothers; three sisters, and one great-grandson, David Barnette.

Mr. Burr married on May 30, 1954 in Bennettsville, SC to his sweetheart, the former Winnie Odom.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Winnie of the home; daughters, Selena (Ronny) Walker, Teresa (Mike) Barnette, Tammy (Jack) Freeman, and Joannie (Robert) Goodson; sons, Ray (Roberta) Burr and Ken Burr; six grandchildren, Michael (Athena) Barnette, Cory (Melissa) Barnette, Brian (Cynthia) Davis, Kendall Burr, Kristy (Brooks) Bigelow, And Jessica (Keith) King and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy, Rob and Fred Burr and sister, Wilma Griggs.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A private family service will be held at a later date.
