Dorothy Mae Grant

She was born July 19, 1940, in Scotland Neck, NC. She was a faithful and devoted homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents of Greenville, NC; her loving husband, Ray Matthew Grant; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Grant Fulp; brother-in-law, Don Lee Roy Grant; and nephews, Donnie Lee Roy Grant and Eric Scott Grant.

She is survived by a brother, Robert Bruce (Mary) Campbell of Greenville, NC; two nephews, Robert and Richard Campbell; a niece, Tammy Campbell, al of Greenville, NC; great-nieces and nephews including a special great-nephew, Brett, to whom she was lovingly known as “Dot-Dot.”

She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Norman (Margie) Grant of Statesville and Robert Fulp; two sisters-in-law, Faye (Ralph) Fox of Taylorsville and Sylvia Grant (Larry) Stacy of Range, Alabama; and her nieces and nephews in the Grant family, Samantha (Jeff) Lackey of Statesville, Bridgette (Chris) Ferriera of Wyoming, five other nieces and five nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM today (Saturday, January 3) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Pharr officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM today at the funeral home prior to the service.
