Eileen Anthony Henderson, 77 of 818 Kentwood Dr., Statesville, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 following a brief illness at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Quinn, South Dakota on August 27, 1935, daughter of the late Edwin and Iloe Schaffer Anthony.
She is survived by her husband Reece J. Henderson, her children, Tony Henderson (Merrilynne) and Coleen Olive (John) of Statesville and Neal Henderson (Aya) of Cary, a brother, Lyle Anthony (Ellen) of Raton, New Mexico. Further surviving are grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Jennifer, Kisha and Sean along with many loving nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Eileen loved her family, her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, cooking and bird watching.
Graveside services celebrating her life are scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove United Methodist Church, 1331 Sloan’s Mill Road, Union Grove, with Rev. Dwight Dowell officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service.
Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Henderson.
