Everett Reid Phillips

Born October 7, 1933 in Rutherford County, NC, he was the son of the late Everett H. Phillips and Ruby Brindle Phillips.

Mr. Phillips served in the United States Navy and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He retired from Hunt Bienfang Manufacturing and later worked for Jim’s Transmission.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Davis Phillips on August 9, 2013.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Andrew and wife Laury Brown Phillips , and Jeffery Scott and wife Joyce Phillips; one daughter, Amy Phillips; four grandchildren, Benjamin (Patricia), Joshua (Tiffany), Matthew (Sandy) and Elizabeth; ten great-grandchildren, Jaden, Adah, Nolan, Kyle, Chase, Emma, Joshua, Jr. Trenton, Judy and Truly; and one brother, Kevin Phillips.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Duncan and Benjamin Phillips officiating.
