She was born February 15, 1935, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Roland and Sula Elliott Deal. She was a faithful and devoted homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dan Mayberry; two brothers, Wayne and Allen Deal; and a sister, Patsy Dobson.
She is survived by her husband, Hildred M. Mayberry, whom she married on April 19, 1952; three sons, Tommy, Jerry and David Mayberry all of Statesville; a daughter, Barbara Willard of Mocksville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service celebrating Mrs. Mayberry's life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Monday, September 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
