

He was born October 29, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the son of the late Samuel and Tina Radowick. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945 during World War II on the USS Cowanesque AO-79 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 2031. He was self-employed for 40 years, and after moving to North Carolina, he worked at Fox Den Country Club which he said was the best job he ever had because of his love for golf. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty R. Radowick, whom he married on December 20, 1943; a daughter, Kathy Kacenga (Mike) of Mooresville; four sons, George R. Radowick (Liz) of Youngstown, OH, Gary Radowick (Jean) of Orange City, FL, Tom Radowick of Lake Jackson, TX, and David Radowick (Debbie) of Houston, TX; a brother, Samuel Radowick (Julie) of Lansing, IL; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with the Rev. Brad Mullis officiating.
