Mrs. Jessie Kay Jackson, 102, passed away on Saturday, February 3 at Carillon Assisted Living. She was born on March 13, 1915 in England. She served in the Royal Air Force as a postal worker during World War II. She immigrated to the United States in 1946. She worked for Victor, an adding machine company as an office manager for several years. It was during this time that she met her husband Sherman Jackson. Their courtship lasted 11 years and they were married in 1967.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and the love of her life Sherman Jackson.
A celebration of Jessie Kay’s life will be held at a later date.
