

Mrs. Juanita Marie Smith Bradshaw, 85, of 2404 S. Chipley Ford Road, Statesville, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born March 9, 1927, in Abbeville, SC, and was a daughter of the late George Frank and Lena Mae Turner Smith. She formerly managed the G'Anzie and Tobias retail stores. She was a member of South River Baptist Church and was a Pink Lady at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed bowling and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Mike Dagenhart; two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Jack Bradshaw whom she married on June 17, 1973; sons, Gene Dagenhart and his wife, Connie, Steve Dagenhart and his friend, Medina Wilson, Edward and Keith Bradshaw, all of Statesville; three sisters, Nancy Smith, Kate Peterson and Willie Partain; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services celebrating Mrs. Bradshaw's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at South River Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Thompson and the Rev. Larry Wicker officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Bradshaw, Josh, Nick and Eric Dagenhart, Zachary Chapman and Jordan Lail. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
