Juanita Thompson Wilhelm

Juanita Thompson Wilhelm, 83 of Statesville passed away on November 16, 2016. Juanita was born on January 14, 1933 to the late Posey Reid Thompson and Edna Bell Allgood Thompson and was a lifelong resident of Iredell County. She was married on March 1, 1948 to Ben Wilhelm, who preceded her in death on May 5, 2006. They were long-time members of New Salem United Methodist Church. Juanita was also preceded in death by her son Joe “Buddy” Martin Wilhelm on November 13, 1988.

Mrs. Wilhelm is survived by her son, Benny (Linda)Wilhelm of Statesville; her daughter, Lisa (Daniel)Galliher of Harmony; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Brent)Cook, Emily (Doug)Lambert, Nikki (Duncan)Coleman, Danielle (Tim)Campbell , Benjamin (Addie)Galliher, Joey and Jennifer Wilhelm; 10 great grandchildren, John, Lexi, Ashley, Jeremy, Tyler, Kelsi, Holdeyn, Keylei,Tripp, Krash and Sarah and 1 great-great granddaughter, Aleeah.

Pallbearers will be Tim Campbell, Duncan Coleman, Brent and John Cook, Benjamin Galliher and Doug Lambert.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday November 19, 2016 from 10-11am at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, 705 Davie Ave., Statesville with a funeral service to celebrate her life at 11am in the Westmoreland Chapel of the Funeral Home. The burial will follow at New Salem UMC Cemetery, Statesville.
