Larry Dean Hayes

He was born May 18, 1944, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Walter and Darlie Rash Hayes. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, J.W. Hayes, Bill Hayes, and Gaston Hayes; a sister, Mildred H. Dobson; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Cash.

He attended chapel services regularly in the Covenant Center at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton.

He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Cash, Edna Ingram (John), and Ruth Reece (Wade), all of Statesville; and one brother, Jerry Hayes of Taylorsville.

Funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 11:00 Monday in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Chaplain Johnny Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
