Laverne Lamberth

She was a native of Iredell County, born August 30, 1950 and was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Joines Sides. She was, also, preceded in death by her step father: Raymond Joines.

She was owner and operator of Laverne's Hair Care. On March 26, 2004 she married Darryl Lamberth, who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Sammy Howard (Desiree) of El Centro, Calif. and Chris Lamberth (Brandy) of Statesville, one daughter: Sara Wingler (Scott) of Statesville, her special mom and pop: Jason and Carol Lamberth of Statesville, two brothers: Billy Sides and Eddie Joines, six sisters: Maxine Wallace, Kay Killy, Diane Jones, Barbara Fink, Tina Euwer and Kim Gabriel, six grandchildren: Evan and Paris Howard, Joseph and Isabella Lamberth, Ellie and Maylee Wingler. She is also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services celebrating Laverne's life will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Southview Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Duffer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Martins cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
