

Mrs. Ewing-McLelland was born to Marilyn Freeman and the late Robert L. Brewer on July 10, 1972, in Sevierville, Tennessee. She spent her early childhood and adolescent years with her mother and sister in Show Low, AZ. She worked as a Chef at the Italian Oven and Bartender at Good Time Saloon and Shockwave all formerly of Statesville. She loved spending time with her family and dogs, reading, riding motorcycles and coming up with new recipes to wow her friends with.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by grandmother, Elizabeth Allen Jackson and sister, Roberta Freeman.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dale McLelland of the home; eight children, Sierra Ewing of Greensboro, Raine Rumple of the home, Angela Smith of Virginia, Brandon McLelland of California, Myranda McLelland of Statesville, Leah Anderson of Salisbury, Rance McLelland of Salisbury, and Lauren McLelland of the United States Navy; five grandchildren, Destiny Gonzales of the home, Mariah Bayer of the home, Braelyn McLelland of Salisbury, Dylan Smith of Virginia and Byron Cass of Union Grove; mother and step-father, Marilyn and Hubert Freeman of Kernersville; two uncles, Donald Jackman of Goldhill and John Jackson of Tennessee cousin, Lisa Jackman Sweeney of Salisbury and numerous nieces, nephews and friends she considered family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 7pm in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday from 5:45-6:45 pm at the Funeral Home.
Following the service the family will be celebrating her life at Marty's Pub and Grill in Statesville.
