Seth Leonard (Lenny) Freeze, 69, of Troutman passed away September 20th , 2018 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC. He was born June 6, 1949 in Statesville, NC to the late Seth Leonard Freeze and Pauline Kilpatrick Freeze. As a 1968 graduate of Statesville Senior High School, Lenny enjoyed keeping up to date with his friends on their class website. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Technology degree.
During his career, he worked for the A&P Grocery store to pay his way through college. He worked at Kewaunee Scientific long enough to meet the love of his life and then retired in 2006 from Pleuger/Flowserve after 33 years as an Application Engineer.
Lenny’s greatest passion was teaching God’s word with hours of study, prayer, leading singing and being a faithful member at Broad Street Church of Christ. Lenny was an avid outdoor sportsman enjoying woodlore, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cynthia Jordan Freeze and four siblings. Lenny especially loved his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Deborah Jordan and their three sons, Brandon, Tyler, Trevor, and their families.
The family will receive friends Sunday Sept 23rd, 2018 at Bunch Johnson Funeral Home from 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm. A celebration of life will be held at Broad Street Church of Christ, Monday at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospitality House of Charlotte, 1400 Scott Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203 who provided Cindy a safe, secure, place to live for the month Lenny was in the hospital in Charlotte, or to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
