Born in Alexander County on March 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Crowson Warren and Omie Gant Warren. Linda graduated from Celeste Henkel High School and retired from Hunt Manufacturing Company after 38 years of service. She was a favorite member of Beulah Baptist Church and a member of the Co-Ed 8 Sunday School class. Linda was a very caring lady, who enjoyed having company and visiting with others.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ted Sharpe, who passed in 2009; one son, Timmy D. Sharpe in 1990 and her daughter, Pamela Gail Sharpe in 1968.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Landon and Hartsell Warren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tony Sharpe (Keri) and Todd Sharpe (Alisha); two grandsons, Madison and McKinley Sharpe; one brother, Connolly Warren (Pat); her twin sister, Brenda Whitener (Robert) and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Warren. She also leaves behind many extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 21, 2019 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at Beulah Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
