
She was born June 15, 1960, in Statesville and was the daughter of Marie Sherrill Johnson and the late Walter S. Johnson, Sr. She was a member of the Church of Christ and always put other first. She was devoted to her family and served as the primary caregiver to her mother for the last ten years. She was an avid gardener, both flowers and vegetables, and enjoyed collecting antiques. Prior to her disability retirement, she worked with Taylor Togs in Taylorsville and Volex/CMS in Claremont.
Lori is survived by her mother, Marie Sherrill Johnson of Stony Point; two sisters, Beth Harrison (Charlie) of Brunswick, Maine, and Sandy Smith (Frank) of Clemmons; two brothers, Steve Johnson (Lisa) and John Johnson, both of Stony Point; four nieces and nephews, Kerri Harrison of Brunswick, Maine, Crystal Johnson of Taylorsville, Matt Johnson of Wilkesboro, and Trae Johnson of Stony Point; three great-nieces and nephews, Alexis Johnson of Hiddenite, Hunter Johnson and Jade Johnson of Wilkesboro; and a special friends, Joyce Herman.
Memorial services celebrating Lori’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Abilene Church of Christ with Mr. John Hutchinson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the church prior to the service.
