Lucille Bumgarner Binkley

Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Bumgarner Binkley, 90, of 123 Backside Dr. Cleveland, died Wednesday at the Davie County Hospital in Mocksville. Born in Iredell County on July 31, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Duff McCoy Bumgarner and Claudia Brown Bumgarner. She was formerly a CNA at Davie County Hospital and a member of Corinth Church Of Christ. She loved reading, participating in the senior citizens group, cooking and being a grandmother. Her husband, Harold Binkley, Sr. died on February 23, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Phil Binkley and his wife, Debra of Cleveland and Harold Binkley, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Sevierville, Tenn., a daughter, Martha Hellard of Cleveland, two brothers, Jimmy and Harold Bumgarner of Cleveland, two sisters, Muriel Campbell of Cleveland and Janie Waller of Woodleaf. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mrs. Binkley's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Corinth Church Of Christ with Mr. R. D. McDaniel officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will then receive friends following the commital in the church fellowship hall.
