

Mrs. Marge Basden Puffenberger, 74, of Statesville, died Feb. 26, 2011 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte. She was a native of Duplin County, born on March 8, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Veston and Addie Whaley Basden. She was formerly employed with Hunt Mfg. Co as a shipping clerk and with the Iredell County School System in the cafeteria.
Mrs. Puffenberger is survived by two sons: Dan Puffenberger and his wife Ari of South Carolina and Alan Puffenberger of Brown Summit, NC, two daughters: Chris Kuehne and her husband Terry of Bryan, Ohio and Nancy Nestor and her husband Joe of Mint Hill, NC, three sisters: Mae Quinn of Beulaville, NC, Molly Hall of Gibsonville, NC and Margaret Jarman of Jacksonville, NC., a sister-in-law: Irene Basden of Beulaville, NC, and eight grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her parents, her brothers Dormie, Doris and Maurice and her brothers-in-law Sonny Boy Quinn, Charles Hall, and CN Jarman.
Funeral services celebrating Marge's life will be held Thursday at 1:30 at Landmark Church of God with the Rev's Kenneth Hudson and B.N. Black officiating. Intombment will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday even-ing from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
