Mary Margaret Edwards (Mangum), 74 years old passed away on March 3, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on August 14, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to the late Roland and Jewell (Page) Mangum.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, George Edwards in 2008 and her brother, Leo Mangum.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Denise Self and her husband Dwayne of Cleveland, NC; her sister, Joan Presley and her husband Robert of Houston, TX; her brother, Roland Joseph Mangum, Jr. and his wife Lona of Baltimore, MD; her three grandchildren, Gary Wayne Smith, Bryan Joseph Smith and Mary Addrianna Smith and her three great grandchildren, Hayleigh, Elizabeth and George Smith.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9pm at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, 705 Davie Ave., Statesville. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday 12pm at Morningstar Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC with the committal service to follow in Rowan Memorial Park, Cleveland, NC.
