
She was born May 10, 1934, in Tazewell, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Hazel Bowling Cruey. She was retired from Pinnacle Furniture Company in Conover and was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
On December 16, 1957, she married Ralph Milford Horn who preceded her in death on April 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Ann Horn; a sister, Cora Davidson; and a brother, Elmer Cruey.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Rabon (Walter) and Sue Stewart (Jerry), both of Statesville, and Debra Ann Hilderbran (Todd) of Maiden; four grandchildren, Allen Stewart, Randy Stewart (Tamatha), and Miranda Byrd, all of Statesville, and Tyler Hilderbran of Maiden; five step-grandchildren, Tammy Paige and Karen Weston (Scott), both of Salisbury, Brook Bartels, Kassey Hilderbran & Brittany Schnidt, all of Hasting, MN; four great-grandchildren, Chase and Andon Welch, Ella Grace Byrd, and Cody Lee Stewart all of Statesville; two step-great-grandchildren, Carter Perry and Ashlyn Bartels; and two brothers, Howard Cruey (Rachel) of Tennessee and Owen Cruey of Virginia.
Funeral services celebrating Louise’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Gant officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and at other times will be assembled at the home on Hickory Highway.
