Mary Arlene Sharpe

She was born September 14, 1942 in Iredell County the daughter of the late Pete Shoemaker and the late Della Stevenson Shoemaker. She was retired from the Poultry service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker and faithful Christian who love reading her bible daily. She was a member of New Life Community Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Sharpe, her brothers Frank, Carl, Guy and Jack Shoemaker and sisters Frances Horton and Joyce Breedlove.

Left to cherish her memory is her children Grady Sharpe (Sheryl), Robin Link (Glen) Judy Sharpe (Randy), Roger Sharpe, Steve Sharpe (Tena). Six Grandchildren; Scott Sharpe (Caty), Shawn Sharpe, Matthew Link, Kelsey Sharpe, Taylor Sharpe, Kaitlyn Miller; brother Walt “Bubba” Shoemaker, sisters Ruby Breedlove and Judy Holbrook and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am– 11:00am on Wednesday, February 21 at New Life Community Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Olin cemetery.
