

She was born July 4, 1946, in Elkins, West Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Rev. James and Blanche Scott Fancher. She graduated high school in Huttonsville, WV, and was a member of Landmark Church of God. She was an Evangelist who loved God and people.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Joseph R. Bass; a daughter, Faith Bass; grandparents, Ralph and Lula Fancher and Noah and Sarah Scott; a sister, Mary Ann Fancher; a brother, David Fancher; and a sister-in-law, Lynn Fancher.
She is survived by three sisters, Grace (Willard) Dickerhoof of Ravenna, OH, Esther (RC) Brown of Statesville, and Pauline “Sue” (Rev. Charles) Herron of Latta, SC; two brothers, Larry Fancher of Portland, Oregon, and Johnny Fancher of Rochester, Minnesota; step-children, Barbara (Arnold) Bryan, Patricia (Lloyd) McKnight, Sue Cowan, Lisa (Sydney) King, Dewayne Bass, and Joey Bass, all of North Carolina, and Frieda McLean of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her.
Memorial service celebrating Miriam’s life will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Landmark Church of God with the Revs. Kenneth Hudson and Benjamin Black officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
