

Nancy was born on May 1, 1937, to the late Harley R. Goble and Bessie M. Broyhill from Stony Point. She is a graduate from Stony Point School. She is also a graduate from Appalachian State University with a bachelor's degree. She was devoted to teaching and was an elementary school teacher for several years.
In June 1959 she married the love of her life, the late William Ronald Clontz of Taylorsville. He preceded her in death in December of 2024. They had been married for 65 years. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband. They were members of St. Francis United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. She also did administrative work for Clontz Commercial Investments for years with her husband.
Nancy had a passion for sewing and cross stitching. She had a witty personality with great comeback remarks that always made you smile.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harley Goble Jr of Maryland and Kathleen G. Watts of Taylorsville.
Nancy is survived by nieces, Kitty Paulette Goforth (Dale), Nicole White (Mark), Merri Martin (James) and Cindy Vanlaar (Franco); nephews, Steven Goble, Sammy Goble, Johnny Goble, and Tommy Goble; great nephew, Scott Dixon (Amy); great niece, Tamra Dixon; sister-in-law, Patsy Robinson; and brother-in-law, James Clontz. Numerous great-great nieces and nephews are also left to cherish her memory.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, to the S. Mitchell Mack House, and to The Gardens of Statesville.
