Nancy Kay Guy Fortier

Nancy Kay Guy Fortier, 71, of Statesville, died December 11, 2013 at her home. Born in Kiser, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Edward Guy and Norma Eris Foote Guy. She was a retired administrative assistant for a law firm. Nancy was in the first graduating class of South Mecklenburg High School in 1960. She had a lifelong love of art. She was a school volunteer during her children's school days and was very content , yet active, in being at home. She read her Bible completely through and her top priority was loving and caring for her family . She also enjoyed lifelong friendships from Maryland to Alabama.

Survivors include a son, Guy Fortier and his wife, Lesley of Apex, a daughter, Melissa Neader and her husband, Mike of Statesville, a sister, Ann Thomas, and her son, Timothy, of Fort Mill, S.C. and grandchildren: Eliza Kay Neader, Nick Neader, Jennie Neader, Caitlin Fortier and Gillian Fortier.

Services celebrating Nancy's life will be private, with Rev. Lynn Kunkle officiating, however they will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
