

Patricia Thompson, 75, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. A native of Hancock County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Glen Meryl Harding and Margaret Viola Rodgers Harding. She worked at Furst McNess for many years and PlastiFlex for several years prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, and by a stepson, Mike Thompson. A grandson, Brent, also preceded her in death. She attended Welcome Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Thompson is her husband, Stanley Allen Thompson; daughters, Sandy Morrison (Sam, Jr.) of Statesville, Debbie Isenhour (Paul) of Statesville, Brenda Waugh (Butch) of Troutman, and Diane Johnson (Jimmy) of Cleveland, NC. She is survived by her step-children, Deborah (Sam) Kaya, Steve (Beverly) Thompson, Julia (Jimmy) Wagner, David (Donna) Thompson and Peggy (Roy) Stonesifer. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Edwina, Mathew, Jonathan, Stacey, Kristin, Rachel; by several step-grandchildren, by her great-granddaughter, Breanna, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Thompson on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tommy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
