Randy Ray Myers

Born December 6, 1956 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Burlie Preston and Ina Jolly Myers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Douglas Myers and Jesse James Myers.

Randy worked as a supervisor with the NCDOT and attended A Light in Darkness Church of Harmony.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Combs Myers; one daughter, Marsha Kay Sparks and husband Eric of Roaring River; two sons, Sergeant Preston Ray Myers of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Fort Lewis, Washington and Corporal James Dale Myers of Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas; two grandsons, Dylan Myers and Conner Sparks; one sister, Bonnie Eller and husband Mack of Thomasville and one brother, Dean Myers and wife Shelly of Spruce Pine.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The funeral service honoring Randy’s life will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy’s sons, Richard Speaks, Dale Stone, Tracey Myers, and Dylan Gilreath.
