Torrey Eugene Morrison

He was born May 26, 1968, in Statesville and was the son of Wanda Louise Morrison of Statesville and Doris Earnest Rhoney of Baltimore, MD. He was employed with Mueller Systems in Cleveland. He was a strong leader with a listening ear and was always offering sound advice - whether wanted or not! He enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. He was a man of God and a good father who loved to be around his family. He was an avid football fan and a die-hard New York Giants fan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clyde Morrison.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his wife, Michelle Richardson Morrison, whom he married on January 20, 2004; six daughters, Heather (Daniel – his “Dog”) Pearson of Takoma Park, MD, Nikki Kirkland of Statesville, Missy Kirkland and Ashley Kirkland, both of South Carolina, Larae Richardson and Elissa Walker both of New Jersey; three sons, Kaivon “K” Richardson of Woodleaf, Corey Kirkland of Statesville and John Richardson of Winston-Salem; four sisters, Doris Morrison and Sheila Roseboro both of Statesville, Michelle Rhoney and Nakia Savage-Darden, both of Maryland; two brothers, Eric Rhoney of Maryland and Earnest Rhoney, Jr. of Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Margo (Samuel) Irving of New Jersey; maternal grandmother, Nadine Morrison of Statesville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Belmont Cemetery with Pastor James Hunter and Rev. Issac Pettis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home and at other times will be assembled at his mother home on E. Greenbriar Road.
