Willard Farr McCune

He was born July 28, 1923, in Los Angeles and was the son of the late Willard William and Emeline Alice Farr McCune. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on November 16, 2012, by his wife, Elizabeth Reavis McCune. He was retired district manager with AT&T after many years of service. He enjoyed HAM radio, golfing, woodworking, tinkering with anything he could get his hands on.

He is survived by a son, Michael McCune of Walnut Creek, CA; five daughters, Carolyn Taylor of Tiverton, RI, Phyllis Kale of Minden, NV, Patricia Wiebe of Big River, Canada, Janet Bertolone of Brentwood, CA, and Cathy Moore of Monks Corner, SC; a step-daughter, Deborah Tidwell of Bristol, TN; a sister, Eleanor Carpenter of Sacramento, CA; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment will take place at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2014, at New Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Gay officiating.

The family will speak with friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
