He was born September 5, 1943, in Greensboro and was the son of the late Matthew Claud Yow, Jr. and Mary Gladys Tutterow Yow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Cleveland Lions Club. He worked as an electronics technician up until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara G “Lita” Yow whom he married on June 5, 1964; a son, William Troy Yow of Cleveland; a sister, Brenda Carol Yow of Mocksville; and numerous cousins and extended family in Greensboro.
Graveside service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors being accorded by Rowan County Veterans Council.
The family will receive friends at the Cleveland Lions Club immediately following the service.
