Mr. Wilson Kindel Reese passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Greensboro, NC. He was born in Raleigh, NC on January 25, 1967, and was the beloved son of the late Cecelia Kindel Reese and the late Walter Lee Reese.
Wilson was a 1985 graduate of Statesville High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was a loving person, full of life and smiles. His love for his nephews, Carter and Walker, knew no bounds. He showered them with love and they loved him back.
Wilson worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years and gained numerous lifelong friends which held a special place in his heart. His family would like to give a special thank you to his friends Melodie Dugum and Beau Rogers for their love and friendship.
He had a great heart and a will to help anyone. He talked to and became friends with the homeless that lived near him and helped them as much as he could. Wilson’s desire to help others led him to participate in a rally to drive across Europe, Asia, and part of Russia to raise money, and provide toys and books to help underprivileged children in Mongolia. He then decided to go to school in Poland for two months because he wanted to travel the world teaching English.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, a brother, Clark (Amber) Reese of Statesville; two nephews, Cater Ian Reese, Walker Dylan Reese; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Members of the family will receive friends at the home of his brother Clark Reese, 512 St. Cloud Dr., Statesville, NC on Sunday April 29th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army of the Carolinas.
Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is serving the family.
