She was born September 27, 1937 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice Hulvey Snyder.
She was a member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church and was a former employee General Electric of Waynesboro.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Donn Painter, a daughter, Michelle McManaway and husband Rick of Mount Solon and a grandson, Devon Miller.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Pleasant View Cemetery by Pastor Charles McFarlin.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery.
