She was born in Allegheny County on January 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Paul Edward and Betty Violet (Dalton) Arrington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph E. Nelson.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Rebecca J. Drew; one son, Paul L. Nelson; two grandchildren, Tara M. Drew and Samantha J. Drew and her companion Caleb M. Smith.
Our mother and grandma was person who was full of nothing but love and kindness. She always had a beautiful smile on her face even with the struggles of heart failure during her final days.
Watching westerns and cross stitching were her most beloved pastimes. With her she took a piece of our hearts and we will greatly miss her.
