

George “Jack” Nathen Perry, 76 of Verona, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Kings Daughters Health and Rehab. He was born on February 17, 1938, a son of the late Vertie and Everett Perry. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Johnathan N. Perry and his two sisters, Betty C. Craig and Barbara Ann Perry.
Jack was a true craftsman. He loved working with wood and built all sorts of items from toys to baby cribs. Jack also enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
Jack is survived by his sister, Joice Wright and husband Donald of Crozet; a brother-in-law, Steven Donald Craig of Verona; two nephews, Steve Craig of Verona and David Craig of Norfolk; a niece, Bobbie Gilbert of Waynesboro. He will be remembered by his special friends, Rutledge and Logan Ives of Staunton.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rob Marsh and the staff at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab, Second Floor, West for all the wonderful care given to Jack.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s honor to Good News Ministries Pentecostal Church of God, 18 Kerry Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2014 at Augusta Memorial Park with Reverend Gregory L. Miller officiating.
