Gretchen Fern Edwards

Mrs. Edwards was born In Farmington, Maine on October 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Robert Linwood Maxwell, Sr. and Rose (Neil) Maxwell.

She was the former owner of her own business, The Seam.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Marvin Edwards, Jr. on January 17, 2021; siblings, Arlene Brown, Robert Linwood Maxwell, Jr., Clarence Neil Maxwell, Alton Charles Maxwell, Glennis Maxwell and Bryant Maxwell.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Harlow and wife, Tina of Culpeper, VA, Kenneth Harlow of Cumberland, VA; daughter, Bonnie Menefee and husband, John of Culpeper, VA; step-daughters, Camden Ferry of Staunton, Melissa Avey and husband, Mike of Deerfield; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2022 at Oaklawn Mausoleum & Memory Gardens, 1921 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton with Pastor Frank Hall officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside.
