

Holley, as she preferred to be called, was born on October 29, 1944 in Rockville Center, NY, and was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Mildred Louise Casey (Walker) McAleese. Holley worked in many capacities in public television and radio. She was Advertising Manager, Membership Director, and Development Director. Holley was also a self-published author and national public speaker. She enjoyed volunteering, spending time with her cats, and doing arts, crafts, and sewing projects for others. Holley was a member of the Working Women’s Forum, AAUW, Vietnam Veteran’s Association Chapter 1601, and American Red Cross “Donut Dollies”. She was also a member of the Verona United Methodist Church, and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Holley is survived by her children, Heather W. Fisher and partner Lee Fok of Portland, OR, Hans O. Watts and wife Catherine Roderick of Mt. Crawford, VA; older sister, Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Calabria of Bridgewater, VA; two grandchildren, Briana Clements of Harrisonburg, VA, Ayiana Elyse Linn of Verona, VA; great-grandchildren, Clintson Tyr Clements and Annabelle Clements, both of Harrisonburg, VA.
She was also preceded in death by a half-brother, David McAleese.
