John Randolph Page Hamilton

Born in 1938 in New York City, Jack was the son of the late Philip Wellford and Katherine (Withers) Hamilton. He married Dorothy Harris in 1961 and the two shared over 60 years of marriage.

Jack was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Staunton and was a proud U.S. veteran having served his country honorably with the Army National Guard. Prior to retirement, he worked as a stockbroker for Scott & Stringfellow for over 25 years. In retirement, Jack continued to trade stocks and was an avid reader of Virginia history and politics. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and he and his wife traveled across the globe.

Jack will be remembered and missed by his family which includes his wife, Dorothy Harris Hamilton; son, John Randolph Page Hamilton II of Norfolk; daughters, Katherine Conant Hamilton of Richmond and Elizabeth Harris Hamilton of Staunton; grandchildren, John Randolph Page Hamilton III and Raven Brown; and his brother, Philip Hamilton of Gloucester.
