Mark & Janet Hosey

Many, many years ago when Lawrence Hosey (her son-in-law) & his brother Mark worked construction Mrs. Ryan asked them to repair the roof on the house in Carteret. Mark and Janet were welcomed with open arms during the renovation project by Mrs. Ryan. She was so sweet to us, fed us, entertained us & even offered to do our laundry while we were there! Such a gracious hostess. The Hosey family was gathered at a restaurant in PA for a special occasion & Mrs. Ryan was among us. We still have that family picture on display with Mrs. Ryan front & center in the group. It's been a constant reminder of just how special she was to us. Our hearts go out to the Hosey & Ryan families. The world would be a better place if everybody was a tenth the person that Mrs. Ryan was.

I remember my mom and Mary going to a Native American festival at Natural Bridge. When they came back all that they could talk about was the good looking chief that they met there and the fact that he was single. I also remember clearing my mom’s voicemail after she died. There was one that said in a weak but concerned voice that said: “I’m looking for my friend Terry.” It was Mary. I wish I could spend the rest of my life being as happy as she was. My condolences, Jeff

Your Mother was a very special lady and loved by everyone who knew her. We loved her visits to the Carolinas and our family gatherings will not be the same without her. She had the ability to make everyone smile and laugh. She was always the "life of the party" and such a caring loving lady. She will be missed.
Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. John and Bonnie

Hi Thomas and Nadia, This is Cecil's wife. The children and I were so sorry to hear about Aunt Frances passing away. We have many sweet memories of her when she would visit here. She loved to joke and she loved to hear jokes. It was a blessing to have known her. Thank you for sharing her with us. We loved Aunt Frances. Will have you all in my prayers in the up coming days and weeks. She was truly a gift who loved her family. May God Bless, Linda Rogers and family

Mary Ryan was a beautiful person inside and out , she had a way of talking to you that made you feel very important . She had the heart of gold . I’ll never forget the car rides heading to Sunday mass and breakfast right after and many celebrations that our family would have over the years . I can’t forget to mention all of the baby blankets and scarfs she made for me and my daughter Claudia . Love you Mary and will always keep you close to my heart .
Your good family friends from Carteret,
Love,
Christa and Claudia

Mary, beautiful person, a wonderful friend! A wit like no other. her laugh, her smile always filled the room. she brought out the best in all of us. Mary was a good friend to four generations in our family. My mother, my children, my granddaughter and me. I am a single mother and Mary for years gave me a small gift on Father's day. She always made us feel special. We love her and will miss her.

Sweet Mary! I loved you so much & looked so forward to your SMILE every Wednesday morning when I walked into Kings Daughters to work in the beauty shop. You were always my first customer & kept me laughing the whole hour I got to spend with you. You’ve taught me many life lessons, told me lots of jokes & were always such a joy to be with. I am so sorry that I wasn’t allowed to come into KD for so long because of covid but I continued to ask about you on a regular basis & thought about you often. I hope you were able to read the card I sent you a couple weeks ago. I never met any of your family but I will continue to pray for them as they go through this journey & I can only imagine all of the wonderful memories they must have of you. Until we meet again... I love you! ❤️
