Nancy Mahler DeYoe

Nancy DeYoe, 71, of Harrisonburg, VA and Leesburg, FL and formerly of Selkirk, NY went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2014 in Harrisonburg, VA. Her unwavering faith in God, the love and prayers of family and friends carried her thru the last five years with her “peaceful” bout with cancer.

She was born August 12, 1942 to the late George and Frances Mahler.

She is survived by her husband and best friend John of 53 years and her loving and caring children; four loving sons; Russel (Donna) of Delmar, NY, Alan of Harrisonburg, VA, Michael (Rose Crawford) of Bridgewater, VA and Scott (Rhonda) of Harrisonburg, VA where she spent her final months. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Eric of Delmar, NY, Chase (Shelly) of Waynesboro, VA, and one great-granddaughter, Zooey Olivia of Waynesboro, VA. Additional survivors include siblings; Kathy Pasquale of Rensselaer, NY, James Mahler of Warrensburg, NY. And Keith Mahler of Wynaskill, NY. She also leaves a special aunt, Phyllis Skidmore of Grenville, NY.

At her request there will be no viewing.

The family will receive friends after her Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3:00PM at the Staunton Alliance Church, 560 New Hope Road, Staunton officiated by Pastor Bill Schmeissing.

In lieu of flowers, donatio0ns can be made I her memory to Staunton Alliance Church Building Fund.

A celebration of her life will held in Florida at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
