Paul Huffman, 79, of Weyers Cave passed away on March 8, 2015 and went to reunite with his wife, Flossie. Paul was born April 3, 1935 and was a farmer throughout most of his life. He additionally worked at Smith’s Transfer for over 20 years and served on the board of directors for the Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative for over 35 years. Paul was an avid horseman best known for introducing the first purebred Arabian horse in the central Shenandoah Valley in the 1960's. He soon thereafter converted the family farm to a horse breeding operation producing his beloved Arabians. Paul donated his body to the Science Care foundation for research to improve other’s lives. Per his wishes no formal public memorial will be held and a private “celebration of life” will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your church, favorite charity, or preferably a youth organization in your community.
