Ruth A. Brooks

Ruth Agnes Brooks, 83, of Staunton passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Shenandoah Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born January 12, 1938 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Lacy Thomas and Ruth (Palmer) Brooks. Ruth was a member of the Staunton Seventh-day Adventist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Dejarnette Center and later Western State Hospital where she worked in food service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Charles and David Brooks. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 563 Bethel Green Road, Staunton with Pastor Bob Banks officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
