60 years old, from Ashburn, Virginia. In loving memory of Atif Riza Aleemi, we recognize a life of pursuit, adventure, and unconditional love.
Atif was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1965 to Akmal and Mumtaz Aleemi. At age 16, he emigrated with his family to Dale City, Virginia. He attended George Mason University, graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Business and a MBA, while also establishing a career in government consulting including working for World Comm, SAIC, and AthenaHealth.
He is survived by a loving wife Evangeline Aleemi, and two sons, Riza and Rashid Aleemi.
Atif will be remembered as a hard-working and self-sufficient man, who instilled the same values on his family. He preached the pursuit of opportunity, knowledge, and efficiency for the sake of full self-realization. However, he never let it come at the cost of happiness. He recognized the importance of absorbing life, whether it was traveling worldwide, spending time with families and friends, cycling, or just making future plans. We will always remember him jokingly say, “Noooo don’t have fun!” when describing our plans.
Above all, he prioritized the happiness and well-being of others. When friends faced difficulties, he was the first to offer support without ever expecting anything in return. With his children, he met every challenge with patience, guidance, and unwavering belief in their potential. With his wife, he was a true partner, always ready to step in, share responsibilities, and ensure the family felt secure and cared for. He consistently looked for opportunities to uplift those around him.
