Anton "Tony" Zagajowski II

Tony was born to the parents of Anton Zagajowski and Oleda Acantilado. Tony was active in the United States Armed Forces from 1960 to 1966. The majority of his life, Tony worked as a dock foreman and belonged to Teamsters 710.

In 1958, Tony met Charlotte “Char” at a hospital in Chicago, Illinois where both Tony and Char’s mothers were being attended to. Tony and Char soon fell in love and married in the year of 1960. Tony and Char went on to have three children, Anton III, Thomas Edward, and Judith Juanita. Tony was a beloved grandfather to Richie, Renee, Anton IV, Thomas Jr., Alyssa, Madalyn, and John. Tony is also survived by his cherished sister Juanita.

After retirement, Tony and Char moved to Kentucky. Soon after, Tony spent time building his dream lake home that could be passed down from generation to generation. His other hobbies included fishing, hunting, boating, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

A visitation for Tony will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
